Buc Blast Off

On January 30th, 2025, ASB hosted an annual tradition called Buc Blast Off. In this tradition, we invite our 6 feeder elementary school students to join us on campus for a presentation. In this presentation, we invite other organizations and clubs to perform and talk about their experiences here at Bellflower. This event allows the incoming students to grow an understanding of what Middle and High School will be like once they promote from elementary. ASB introduced a variety of staff ranging from administration to counseling and also explained what electives and clubs are offered here at Bellflower during their 7th grade year. In addition, our Ensemble, Jazz Band, Drumline, and Filipino Club all performed to help incoming students decide if they want to participate or join any of those organizations or clubs. Meanwhile, our link crew and ASB hosted several games to help the students interact with one another, and our students here at Bellflower. While this was an informative "rally", the two hours were filled with fun and with what similar events for High School rallies have. To conclude the Buc Blast Off event, students were given a tour of CTE classrooms, including Culinary, Aviation, Graphic Arts, Automotive, and Health. Overall, this was an informative and fun experience for our incoming 7th graders.
